Early bird catches the bus

Imagining one day morning, I will wake up to the voice of cuckoos and sparrows. But the cell phone alarm rings with the stubbornness that it will get me out off bed at any cost. It puts in a lot of effort until its battery charge exhausts completely. Feeling sorry for my cellphone, I atlast get up out of bed, just to be greeted by the noise of electric motor pumping water in the hostel. My roommate & nearby roommates(only those who I woke up by my alarm) greet "Good morning" to each other, wondering why it became morning soon (Because we slept only at some 1 AM naa?).
A look at the watch laughs at me that, "No matter what, I am not going to stop". So racing with time, I get ready & sit in the TV room and have breakfast - some friends changing channels hurriedly to c their horoscope for that day, some trying to hear some devotional song at the start of the day, some trying to have a glimpse of their favourite artist, some trying to find out how the world has changed overnight. And just as I am about to leave, some favourite song of mine will be telecasted and between the song & the Chennai bus - I half-heartedly hurry to sign in the hostel register, after waving goodbye to everybody and go to the bus-stop, only to see the bus just passing-by. I curse myself for having wanted to c the song and catch the next bus. I decide next day no matter what, I shouldn't watch the TV in the morning. But u c, I will b able to catch the next bus, but the song - will it be telecasted again in few minutes. So I hope u understand what I will be doing tomorrow..........

The journey of life I feel is long enough to allow oversleeping at times with a stubborn rebuke to the alarm, watching every drab song until you feel your eye might pop out;), missing buses (and even trains) and going for the next one. If you need lessons in any of these come to me.

i'm glad my life is simple.
Get up anytime i want. No TV to bother me. No bus to catch. I just walk to the office. I'm not in a hostel. So no formalities. My working hours are flexible enough to let me get in anytime any day..
But is my life really that simple? Guess not.. Thats another story for another time..another place..
